Are Cello Bags of Archival Quality?

Yes. Cello Bags are safe for archiving and conservation purposes. Polypropylene is the most widely accepted commercial archival storage material in the United States. It is recommended by both the International Organization for Standardization ISO 10214:1991(E) Sect 4.3 and the American National Standards Institute ANSI IT9.2-1991 Sec 3.3. The polypropylene used in our Cello Bags is naturally acid free and lignin free and conform to PAT ISO standard 18916.

 

Are Cello Bags made from diamonds?

All of our Cello Bags are made of 100% virgin ultra clear Polypropylene plastic. BOPP (biaxially oriented polypropylene plastic) is used for our re-sealable Lip & Tape bags.This material offers an even higher grade of clarity and is resistant to tears and wrinkles.

 

Are Cello Bags FDA approved?

Yes. Cello Bags are made from 100% virgin material and are commonly used to package food items.

 

Can Cello Bags be recycled?

Yes. Cello Bags are classified as #5 PP. Modern waste management facilities now accept PP #5 for recycling. Please check with your local recycler regarding proper separation and identification of materials.

 

Can Lip & Tape Cello Bags be resealed?

Yes. The adhesive used on our standard Lip & Tape bags is similiar to "Post-It Notes®".

 

Will Cello Bags turn yellow?

No. Old fashioned cellophane bags made from cellulose (a wood product) turned yellow with age. Our Cello Bags are made from very stable and non-reactive material with no hazardous decomposition characteristics.

 

How are Cello Bags measured?

Plain Lip & Tape Cello Bags - The first number refers to the width and is the size of the opening. The second number refers to the length.

Yes, but only selected items that are priced in smaller units.

How much will shipping cost?

The website will calculate the shipping cost for you at check-out. Freight charges are based on order size and ship to location. The more you spend, the lower percentage your freight will be.

 

Can you ship Freight Collect ?

Yes. Customers wishing to have their shipments sent Freight Collect must call us at (800) 791-5183. Arrangements can not be made directly via this website.

 

When will my order ship?

Items are in stock and ready to deliver. Orders are generally shipped the same working day. We will contact you by email or telephone if any items are out of stock.
